The physical model for LIDAR scan
This model represents landscape. It is made for LIDAR scanning. When 3D scanner work, the scanner recognizes the objects through the line of LASER. The laser scans the geometrical curvature of objects. When the scanner moves, the curvatures are archived. The scanned image by 3D scanner is the collection of the line on surface.
The hovering platform will scan the landscape of London by pinhole like LIDAR. When certain image is projected on the landscape of London by the platform, obviously the image will be distorted because of the 3 dimensional shape of landscape. Through the strength of curvature, we can estimate the shape of landscape.
